Actually,

The predictions were made last year or the year before. Those making the predictions (Armgaugh (sp) Obsrvatory) have been accurate for the last three years. This year was the closest yet, they were off only one hour UT and the ZHR (rate) was right on the money.

Their prediction for 2002 (made last year and based on previous years Leonids)-- North will be best placed for the highest number of Leonid meteors-- 25,000 per/hr or more....

Only problem-- near full moon.

But at that ZHR the show should be extraordinary.
