I'm not sure how you've managed to avoid seeing this hoax
before now, but I assure you that's all it is. Check:

for instance. In the future, it is a good idea to first
check one of the many websites (such as the one above) that
keep up-to-date with myths and hoaxes before you post
"informative" messages (however good-intentioned) to
large international egroups such as meteorite central.
