He is correct. If you're taking the 405 freeway southbound to get to the show, take the Bristol St. offramp and turn right (south) at the light. Holiday Inn comes up right away on your right. If you're coming northbound on the 405 (from San Diego, for instance) exit at Bristol St. (not long after the John Wayne airport exit) and go left at the light at the end of the offramp. The MapBlast link below is long, but shows a map of the immediate area with a red cross showing the location of the Holiday Inn: <http://www.mapblast.com/myblast/map.mb?CMD=GEO&CT=&IC=&LV=&GMI=&GAD1=&GAD2= &GAD3=&GAD4=&AD2=3131+S.+Bristol&noPrefs=&req_action=crmap&skip=&serch=&PHON E=&noBRP=&remLoc=&AD4=USA&AD2_street=3131+S.+Bristol&AD3=Costa+Mesa%2C+CA&ap menu=&apcode=&selCategory=&x=62&y=18> For out-of-state visitors looking for a nice place to go in the evenings for dinner or drinks, I can recommend The Clubhouse in South Coast Plaza, just a couple blocks north on Bristol from the Holiday Inn (opposite side of Bristol from Anton Blvd.). The place is co-owned by Kevin Costner and Fred Couples (and possibly a third), and is located at the east end of South Coast Plaza (facing Bristol) next to Robinsons/May dept. store. Decent food, large portions, reasonably priced. Good martinis. Cheers, Rob Received on Mon 14 May 2001 07:50:41 PM PDT |
