Dear Listees:

Please pardon the off-topic email, which I post here for two reasons:

1) I know that a goodly number of M-List subscribers are also fossil
collectors/enthusiasts.

2) Some time ago, an M-List member posted here, asking if there
existed a fossil discussion list similar to this one.

Well, there was once a rocks-and-fossils-mailing-list -- a large and
very useful discussion group. Unfortunately, that list no longer
exists, and may have been wiped out by an impact-related extinction
event.

The good news is, there is now a free, dedicated fossil/paleontology
list -- named the Paleolist -- which follows a format very similar to
our own Meteorite List.

To find out more, or to sign up, go here: http://www.paleozoic.org

A FAQ section, and guidelines are available, and you can easily sign
up from paleozoic.org site, which moderates the fossil list.

I hope this is of interest to some.

Kind regards,

Geoff N.

A paleontologist has more cause than most to reflect upon time: its
measurement, its span, and its consequences.
