Hello all,

Thought I'd point out something about NWA 482 that may have been =
overlooked. NWA 482's fusion crust readily distinguishes it from either =
an aubrite or a eucrite. Most fresh aubrites I've seen have a thin tan =
fusion crust; most fresh eucrites have a shiny black fusion crust. NWA =
482 has what looks like a satiny dark brown crust which doesn't look =
like any eucrite or aubrite I've seen.

Regards,
Frank

  Go to http://www.nwa482.com look at the full slice and tell me what =
Eucrite that looks like! If you know one, ill sure as hell buy it!=20
  The meteorite has been submitted, but was announced early =
unfortunately.=20
  As I said, If you have ANY eucrites that even closely resemble this =
meteorite, send them my way, ill take them off your hands. Why do you =
say it looks like an Aubrite or Eucrite, is it because those are =
generally white also? Most eggs are white but this is not an egg:)=20
  The top scientists in the World are working on it, and ALL say Lunar, =
so ill just go ahead and take their word for it.=20

    I thought it was a Eucrite as well. Looks similar to Palo Blanco =
Creek. Brad Sampson=20

       Dear List Members:=20
      Regarding all the recent "buzz" about this new lunar meteorite, =
where is the=20
      primary literature reference(s) describing its authenticity? Not =
that I have=20
      any douts, but man it really resembles a eucrite or aubrite =
achondrite. Look=20
      forward to hearing from everyone.=20

      Sincerely=20
      Greg Shanos
