Those locations are in WESTERN Libya, close to the Tunisian border. Jalu was found in EASTERN Libya, by the Egyptian border. CLASSIFICATION / PUBLICATION: A piece of Jalu has been in the Musee d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris for about a year, and so far Alain has only received a preliminary report. However Alain has all the information (coordinates, total weight, ...etc.) and it will be classified, published, submitted to the Nom. Com. as soon as possible. This is not a new or isolated problem. Alain has several other meteorites in the Musee waiting for their day in the lab. (One from Niger is really interesting. It has metal veins!). Maybe Dean is right, maybe we need a commercial service to analyze meteorites. And maybe this is the kind of service a Meteorite Association could sponsor. Any comments?
