I have a couple that look like wire brushed Gibeon and are just as solid. So i don't think it would be fair to say that all Nantan are crumbly balls of shale that fall apart and aren't worth collecting. It just depends on who you get them from and how much attention the meteorites have been given. Nantan are very popular with people who are looking for an interesting conversation piece or collectors just starting out who don't want to spend 10 times the money for another iron meteorite. I know alot of people who started collecting meteorites because their interest was sparked by a cheap Nantan that they originally bought as a novelty item. So in the end i guess low priced meteorites such as Nantan can help draw new collectors to the hobby which is always a good thing.
