Prior to the discovery of the DAG 262 = lunar meteorite, lunar material was available for $250,000.00 per gram. = Today it is available for $2,000.00 per gram. I have personally handled = lunar meteorites as a dealer starting at $50,000.00 per gram then = $35,000.00 then $25,000.00, $20,000.00, $16,000.00, 11,000.00, = $7,000.00, $6,000.00, $4,000.00 and now I'm offered the newest find _at_ = $2,000.00. See a pattern? I may be a buyer _at_ $500.00. What's going to happen, say next month, when someone dances out of = Morocco with a 20Kg Lunar Meteorite? I'll tell you! If it was me that = had it you'd see Lunar material for $100.00 per gram. oxoxo, MC =20 ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Michael Casper=20 To: meteorite-list=20 Sent: Sunday, February 04, 2001 5:29 PM Subject: [meteorite-list] TUCSON REPORT? I've had several telephone calls from clients attending the Tucon = Show. I find it hard to beleive that they are asking me what material I = have left. I have been offered Lunar specimens = below $2,000.00 per gram and Mars rock below $300.00 per gram. It is my = opinion that the market has fallen considerably and the end is not in = sight. Remember this, Zagami was selling for $75.00 per gram just a few = years back. If you'd like a comparison of volatile markets, just look at = AMAZON.COM... It'll be real interesting to hear the "real" story.
