Hi List,
Obviously these are two different events:-), but to clear up some
misconceptions. Unless one suffers from a 'depth perception' problem, I
doubt that a bolide and ball lightening could be confused. Ball lightening
is relatively 'up close and personal'. A bolide that close would be
unmistakable. It is a question of distance and perception.
Also with regard to sound, ball lightening sometimes makes a sound, other
times not.

|though. I cant imagine that it would splinter and drop off pieces. Ball
|lightening is a orange ball that travels around whole. To bad we dont know
|about if there was noise. Ball lightening dont drop striat down either.
