Re: Overnight Fireball in Connecticut
Hi Dean, Ron and list,
Time warp:-) or date confusion? Dean, we need to if the 'overnight' to
which you refer was 10/6 as would be the assumption. Or was this report
delayed? Ron Baalke's post on ball lightening was on 10/5, so we could be
talking about two different events. Further, I don't think ball lightening
breaks up into fragments, especially as described. What were the weather
conditions at the time of the reported sighting?
Best Regards,
Julia

|I just recently talked with a woman from Connecticut, who with her son,
|saw a fireball. They concluded that they saw a ball lightning
|because they were quite close to the fireball (no sound) and it had
|some bizarre movement which you wouldn't expect from a meteor. Anyway,
|this converstation prompted me to inquire about ball lightning to this
|list, since I've never heard of them before.
