Hi List,
I am somewhat disturbed that, according to growing news reports since recent
MGS Mars Oribit Camera images were released, many scientists seem to be
throwing in the towel:-) on the possibility of Mars having formerly had
oceans based on lack of shoreline. Wouldn't a tsunami caused by impact in
an ocean wipe out the distinctive shoreline? From what I see on the photos,
the terrain appears to show a differentiation of an area formerly
underwater, a leveled shoreline, and dry land.
