On November 21, the asteroid 216 Kleopatra will be in a favorable
position in the constellation Taurus and will reach magnitude 9.6.
It will take until 2013 before it will be that bright again. Look
for Kleopatra 6' to the west of SAO 93710. Even a small scope will
show the unfortunate Egyptian queen's counterpart in the sky. Well,
she fared ill with Julius Caesar, she fared ill with Marc Antonius,
perhaps, a better fate will await her in Bernd's constellation :-)
SAO 93710 right ascension = 3h 59.7m (Novemer 21, 18:00 hrs MEZ)
SAO 93710 declination = + 10° 20' (Novemer 21, 18:00 hrs MEZ)
Diameter = 140 km
Mean distance a = 2.79
Inclination i = 13.152
Eccentricity e = 0.254
Rotational period = 5.385
Taxonomic type = CMEU (carbonaceous, nickel iron, enstatite, various)
Best wishes,
Bernd
