Lew>>Just to clarify, the mailing list 'meteorobs@jovian.com', which Mr. Zay
is referring to here, is *NOT* a list where UFOs and related phenomena are
considered on-topic. Mr. Zay has gotten into very public disagreements
with some of the other active members of 'meteorobs' in the past, and so
has chosen to express his rancour against the list in this way.
But 'meteorite-list' readers can clearly see for themselves what is and is
not considered on-topic on 'meteorobs' - and may also gain some insights
into Mr. Zay himself - by browsing the 'meteorobs' Web Archive at:

"Rancour against the list"? Oh lordy....whether lew was aware of it or not,
meteorobs tolerated UFO and related topics already. Refer to the postings of
Dave English. I no longer remember the subject titles. Dave even stated that
he sought the help of MUFON. If you are familiar enough with the various
UFOolgy discussions that goes on elsewhere nowadays, you will recognize them
in their subtle forms as Dave had posted. I always come down hard on any form
of pseudoscience. It's already got a pretty big toe hold in the young minds
of today. Meteorobs is a natural place to post some UFO topics, so I would
think it likely be more receptive than the meteorite list. This has already
been demonstrated. You can't imagine how many UFOology "Flying Saucer"
reports are generated when major meteor fireballs occur. Admittingly I don't
recall anyone posting a "Flying Saucer" report onto meteorobs yet, but I can
foresee it happening someday. Iridium satellites are another source of
"Flying Saucer" reports. Perhaps meteorobs doesn't have enough UFOols signed
on yet? Maybe I can put a good word in on the various UFO folders of aol? (
: (i) Doh! Talk about loads of entertainment.... :o) As for gaining
some insights about me....???? Most will probably get a mix bag of
impressions at the very worst? I do recall a lot of controversy for various
reasons that has left me with no or few regrets in my responses. I believe
this has a lot to do with me not being a "Wallflower" and willing to jump in.
Cheers....Oh, the Albacore are now biting off San Diego! Grease up your
rod and reels. :o)
