Hello to All,
I need some information. Evidently, there are two different Densmore
meteorites. I have seen references to the following finds but there seems
to be some confusion (on my part, anyway) about actual classification and
location of finds.
Densmore (1879) L6
Norton County, Kansas
Densmore (1950) H6
Graham County, Kansas
Densmore (1950) L6
Norton County, Kansas
The ASU catalog (1985)lists the following information that agrees with the
Meteoritic Bulletin (or it's predecessor).
Densmore (1950) L6
olivine-hypersthene chondrite
Norton County, Kansas
Any informtion will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
John Gwilliam
