thanx for the many replies i got regarding murray cm2. the pieces i have
looked nothing like the pictures sent to me but the color was similar.
because these pieces have been found many years after the fall, they may be
weathered down to a soft, porous, water absorbing, dark brown mass. does
anyone out there have any idea or knowledge in regard to the weathering of
murray and what the pseudomorphic end product of cm2 would look like after
40 years of weathering in a damp environment? what do they turn to ? do cm2
even weather at all? will be doing major element look on s.e.m. to see if
any thing matches with the known chem. of murray cm2.
