I think you're absolutely right. The different "values" are the only way one
*can*
explain something like beanie babies, wherein the physical value is so
totally different from the market value. And meteorites fall into
the same category. People much more poetic than I, have posted
very impassioned messages on this list describing the feelings of awe which
their
meteorites inspire. Feelings that, as a collector, I share. But those are
the
sorts of things which determine the "aesthetic" value you describe above.
But the friendly (I hope!) but impassioned debate that Steve and I have been
enjoying
was strictly about "commercial value". Had there been a recognition that
meteorites can have different values depending on the criteria of judgment,
there
