L.A. County Fair Exhibit (was : LA Meteorite Exhibit)
Since I live in L.A. County and I felt that I might have missed out on
something, I checked with the L.A. Co. Museum of Natural History about
this "one day exhibition". The "Exhibits Department" is not aware of
any temporary exhibit that included meteorites in the past 2 years. She
informed me, although I already knew this, that there are several
meteorites on permanent display in their Mineral Hall.
I wonder if we're talking about the small display that was included in
the Gems and Mineral Exhibit at the L.A. Co. FAIR, which just concluded,
in Pomona? Paradoxically, it was on loan from the San Bernardino Co.
Museum of Natural History!
Since one of my current interests is California meteorites, I recently
took images of this display. Give me a few days and I'll post these
images. I'll let the List know the URL of the web page when it is
finished being built.

I heard there was a one day only exhibition at the Los Angeles County
Museum of Natural History on Sunday that had some meteorites on display.
Did any list members get to see it? I was wondering what was on
display.
