As far as I am concerned a rock suspected to be a meteorite goes through a serie
of tests from examination of its outer surface with a 10x lens, passing through
the classical nickel determination, up to isotopic analysis to identify changes
made by cosmic rays.
Anyone can built a list of procedures, from the simplest to the most
sophisticated one a suspected meteorite should be submited before being
discarded as a normal terrestrial stone?
