Hello List and Frank Stroik,

In my impetuous eagerness for ego-gratification,  I have made an egregious
error.  I will be the first to admit I fool around on the list for the sake
of fooling around.   I tend to be driven to challenge authority figures, so
for those of you new to the list and especially Frank,  you can see from my
post of yesterday how much of an authority figure Frank is.   He is an
expert geologist with a great command of interdisciplinary fields and
original thinking.  I admire him and his thinking and I had no idea that my
sort of British style of debating would be taken to heart.    I admire and
in fact am jealous of those in the scientific community because of their
very abilities and cummulative knowledge.

Frank, I appeal to you not to leave the list because of this prankster.  I
had hoped that you would take it in a different vein.   Your presence on
this list is far more important than mine and I will depart if that is what
it takes for you to remain.  Please reconsider and respond asap.  I
sincerely apologize.

|I am going to suggest that selling a meteorite before knowing exactly
|what classification it is may not be the best. What if something turns
|out to not be what we previously thought it to be.Is the worth to be
|driven downward, and those that bought it suffer that consequence? In
|fairness,the converse to the above can happen as well. However, playing
|a stock market game demeans the true value of the science, that is,
|expanding our views of the solar system, and universe we live in.
