Hello Gregory,
With reserve bidding, the minimum price at which the item will sell is hidden,
though as Mark pointed out, sometimes a seller will provide that info if asked
(in which case, why set a reserve)?
A "starting bid" is not hidden. If you are the first bidder, you simply enter
that as your bid.
Again, what is the purpose of a reserve?
