Hi all:
The Canyon Diablo specimen which was stolen on August first and recoverd a
week or so later in New York, has finally come home. Detectives for the
University of Michigan delivered the meteorite to the Museum early Thursday
afternoon. It is safe and secure, awaiting any further need as evidence
should there be a criminal trial. Many thanks again to Michael Casper for
being alert and making the connection between our posting on this list and
the specimen he encountered.
