I've been looking at chondrules within Allende using a
reflecting microscope.
One particular chondrule which filled the eye piece at x4
magnification, had some unusual features.
The section wasn't completely flat polished and slightly
off center there was a thin raised-up structure that
displayed a set of distinct holes.
Has anyone seen features like these before
- are they due to incomplete/crude polishing?
or are they just a natural feature?
Any theory/comments about chondrule structures and features
within Allende would be appreciated.
