Nagy gives a summary of the "microstructures or organised elements" and
"biogenic hydrocarbons" in meteorites debate in his book:
Nagy, B. (1975) Carbonaceous Meteorites. Elsevier, Amsterdam.
If you're interested it's worth a look, especially as he started that particular
controversy.
By 1975 he believed the "microfossils" to be a combination of terrestrial
contamination, mineral structures and non-biological organic matter.
