Martin, and list,
As I recalled, I thought the Smithsonian now has an exhibit with a vial of
diamonds from acid-melted Allende and Murchison. And since the Axtell is
basically identical to Allende, I assumed it contained all the same material,
including the "star dust." Does anyone know for sure? Are there any other
meteorites with the microscopic diamonds?
