Hi JM,
I have found the pyritic nodules here in Northwest Colorado also, I sent
one to A. Sicree last year for an opinion, I was curious about the
origin since I read that some meteorites contain a form of pyrite I
thought perhaps that the host material had decomposed and the troillite
(sp)was compressed in the shale.
