Dear group-
It is very interesting trying to predict what is next with asteroids and
comets. Watching and waiting for the unseen is also important from a
historical view.
A friend of mine was telling me about Revelations 8. Even though I do
not go to church the description in Rev. 8:8 IS very reminscent of a
comet hitting the earth. No kidding, check it out. 8:10 says "there
fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell
upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of
waters;"(the oceans no doubt) And the name of the star is called
Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many
men died of the waters, because they were made bitter... it goes on to
say the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third
part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the
day shone not for a third part of it, (nuclear winter?) and the night
likewise... Now the question... could the chemicals as the components
of a comet poison the waters??? anybody want to take a shot at this???
I am NOT a religious fanatic... but I Do study literature, and so do my
friends. According to David Levy's book "The Quest for Comets," pg 12
says they are made of: carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, sulfur and
carbon ices. The cyanide could do it, right? All serious responses
invited.
Greetings! Sarah Kennedy
