The most inteligent, and, aparently unbiased, analysis of Tektite
origin is outlined in Povenmire's recently released book, TEKTITES: A
COSMIC PARADOX, in which he outlines the pluses and minuses of both the
terrestrial impact theory and the lunar vulcanism origin theory. I say
this is "aparently unbiased" because Povenmire is an admitted adherent
to the Lunar origin theory - however, he pulls no punches leveling
criticisms against that theory (as well as against the terrestrial
impact theory).
This book can be had via The Metiorite Exchange.
Best wishes, Michael
