Dear List Members!
In the February 1998 issue of Joel's METEORITE! magazine (page 26),
Russell Kempton, the Director of New England Meteoritical Services,
classifies Melrose (a) as an ordinary H5 chondrite. My database
classifies it as an L5. Even the two other meteorites that caused some
confusion, Taiban and La Lande, are L5 chondrites and Melrose (b) is a
howardite.
I would appreciate any help with regard to the classification.
