Since I bought most of the Sikhote Alins that came out of Russia at this
year*s Tucson Show, I will state that in excess of 80% of the material
matches up with several specimens that I have owned for 3 years and
which have labels from the Moscow Academy of Sciences. Neither were
ever cleaned.
Please note that once the top-most layer of a Sikhote Alin is removed,
you will find fresh metal. If this is treated, toned, gun-blued, etc.
it is VERY evident.
