Fellow Collectors:
I have been fortunate to recieve some samples and complete
specimens. This Email is to tell of a remarkable event. I am examining
a 482 gram complete Portales. It is the most unusuall specimen I have
ever seen. We take for granted that when a meteorite hits the ground it
is luke warm at best. I am here to tell you that this one breakes the
rules!! On the fusion crust I have found Plastic Fused into the fusion
crust. think about how hot that had to be when it hit the ground to have
melted plastic directly into the crust. I have spent many hours know
examining the truely unique meteorite. My hat is off to ALL that have
brought some back from the field both for study and
collectors.........Ken Regelman / ARN
