Hey list,
I was informed that in addition to a ureilite(s) and Murchison, that Martian
Meteorites also contain Halite. I assume that it is not in Martian material
in crystal form though. Anyone have any insight to this? The published paper
by NASA (for Julys Meteoritical Society meeting) doesn't mention this. It
does offer some potential explanations as to how these could have gotten into
Monahans (b) but nothing about Mars.
