   Actually,  I belive the aution will happen on Friday July 24, 1998 and will
close at 12 midnight July 26, 1998.

veiled accusations are nothing but conjecture.

Actually your wrong here,  while the auctioneer is not allowed to bid on an
item,  his proxy may do so.   This is common in farming communities,  and is
wecomed by the seller of the item.   The aution is for the seller of the item,
and to disallow someone to bid would cause him to possibly loose a bid.
  
A corrupt aution would entail the owner bidding on his own items to raise the
bid.

   I really don't see what's not normal here,   the High bidder of this
auction has yet to be determined .

 Now that's quite a piece of conjecture on your part,  actually if you check
with the auctioneer you'll find that I'm regestered as a participant in this
auction.    And yes,  I've read the other responces  to your post.    How nice
it is we all think the same....
