Hello John, Steven, Mark and List,
It seems to me that we could better determine the cause of the shooting
incident if we knew if the meteorite hunter had found something that day
- otherwise how would they know he was a meteorite hunter unless they
had been watching him? If he found nothing, then why attack? It would
seem that Steven would be correct with the drug scenario if this is the
case. John, do you have any info on why the collector thought it was
because he was a meteorite collector that he was shot at as your message
seems to indicate?

P.S. If he had found nothing, it could just be they were after a
lone victim for car parts, money, whatever.
