Hello list,
Does anyone know if impersonating an officer falls under 'high crimes
and misdemeanors'? The embellishment of this character, invoking dead
American boys as a ploy, is disgraceful and despicable. It is
particularly gut-turning as we approach the 4th of July holiday. This
is globally contemptible for any of us who lost friends or loved ones in
any war from any nation.
As it is not wartime, there will probably be no penalty, but this
points out yet another internet problem - the use of a private list for
the purposes of self-promoting, deceitful advertising, especially when
taken to such extraordinary lengths. There are laws against e-mail
fraud.
Sincerely and to all those who are equally disgusted, offended and
upset,
Julia
