The author is William Cleverly, a good friend of Brian Mason, who appears in
a photo with Mason at Camel Donga, W. Australia, in our Feb. '97 issue
(p.27). Sadly, Bill Cleverly died last year, but his widow wishes us publish
the article in tribute to her husband.
