To Frank and the rest of this list,
The following website contains a fairly complete list of the geology discussion lists:
http://mtnswest.com/ores/geology/mine/mail.htm
I used to subscribe to the Rocks and Fossils list which is much like the Meteorite List for its interesting mix of scientists, dealers, collectors, hunters, etc.
However, you all are so stimulating that I dropped Rocks and Fossils to concentrate on your posts (and meteorites are my first love).
If you want info for a field trip, the Rocks and Fossils list can help immensely in your planning. There are subscribers in all 50 states. For example, don't go just to Disney World, get tips on a site to dig fossils nearby in Florida.
Regards,
Steve
