Armageddon coming

The List:
Due to the many questions about this movie "Armageddon", I am making this
correction to my Planetary Defense article. It seems the real picture of
the facts are far less attractive than a Disney representation of a
fantastic fiction of reality.

The Movie put out by Disney called "Armageddon" where Bruce Willis and a
host of other hollywood stars save the world from imminent impact from an
asteroid will be out this summer on 1998 not next week and it is just in
production right now.

"IMO if the world can not get its act together (e.g. agree to stop fighting
useless wars) and to put real money into a space program so that humanity
can leave its cradle (the Earth), or thisis not done in time before the
next comet strike, then this "intelligent" life form (humans) will get what
it deserves - extinction."  
These are the words of a well known planetary scientist in a well funded
research program going on right now. I echo these words because I believe
these words. We need to wake up, smell the coffee and DO SOMETHING real!
