	As I was falling asleep on Nov. 15th 1997, I was watching the
night sky for meteors. I was almost out, when a bolide struck the
atmosphere. I was startled by the noise, and the fact that it lit the
entire night sky as if it were day did not help either. It was heading in
a NW direction, at about 30 degrees off the horizon. It probobly landed in
Mali.
	Has anyone heard of a meteorite landing in West Africa about this
time?
