Well, the discussion about guns started when somebody thought it might be
relevant to point out that Australia not only cut founds for one of the most
active astronomers dealing with Near Earth Asteroids (Dr. Duncan Steele),
but also asked its citizens to turn in guns. I just wonder whether anybody
who is now discussing a totally irrelevant subject to this list, followed
Victor Noto's advice to address a letter to the Australian Prime Minister,
pointing out the importance of Duncan Steele's work. Please apologize if you
did so, but if you did not, why not consider doing so!
Greetings,
Patrick Helminger
