Dear Craig,
I, personally, think this might be ONE fall that could be a valuable
instance of being exclusively used for scientific study. I found it
extremely interesting when considering the possibility of acurately
documenting the exact location of every fallen piece in the strewn
field.
Now, it may do just to have an acurate record and not have each and
every piece, as long as each piece is recorded as to weight, shape and
exact location of recover, but, certainly, any search in this field
should be closely coordinated with the schientists plotting the
distribution of the fall.
As a matter of fact, this would be an EXCELLENT opprotunity for
"private" collectors & dealers to "volunteer," en mass, to assist in
thoughroughly searching the area. Would it be cool, or what, to have 200
of us making one gigantic sweep over the area!?! (coordinated, of
course, by the lead investigator)
Just my thought - Michael
