A few weeks ago I posted an "ad" for some Monturaqui Impactite and Shale, that
I had found a few weeks before in Chile on a personal hunt. I received only
one negative response and that delt with the fact that this man thought it was
"unethical" to post prices.
Since ten other people decided to buy them from me, I would guess that the
opinion should be at least 10:1 in favor of allowing ads on the list. (I know
that isn't a scientific poll but...)
Personally I think EVERYONE should put an obvious meteoritical word in the
Subject box, for EVERY post, to help us avoid trashing emails before they are
opened (as I am want to do.) Peddlers should do the same! I think as simple
Subject listing such as "Meteorite Ad - New Moon Rock from Iowa $1/gr" would
help those on the list who could care less to skip over it and read the
important posts. Posts like the "black hole" ones that have far more
important "meteorite" information in them.
My 2 cents worth.
