Tunguska Update

In 1989, Menotti Galli, an Italian, theorized that tiny Tunguska particles of the object may be stuck in the resin of surviving trees. In 1991, he actually went to Tunguska and methodically searched for spruces that had survived the 1908 blast. He found a handful of samples within a 5-mile radius. In the lab, he discovered particles in appropriately-dated tree rings that had a rounded shape and a distinct chemical signature for a high temperature origin.
