Hi Matt,
Don't forget that someone might have stuck a magnet on the specimen making it
magnetic. Unless you went out and found a specimen laying on the ground that
was untouched or influenced by humans, I would think the specimen may have been
contaminated. I would think that any polarity would be pretty subtle in most
meteorites. Somewhere I read something in regards to a study of orientation of
magnetic fields in meteorites to perhaps identify parent bodies.
