I'm sure that I represent the feelings of everyone who has been following the
progress of the Mars Pathfinder through the writings of Mr. Ron Baalke in
sending congratulations to him on for his part in the flawless success of
the mission so far (at the time of this memo we're on Mars, the high-gain
antennae is deployed and photos are only a couple of hours away).
In the last few days he's kept us on mission in real time, and his progress
reports are written in a very personal style. It's an exciting time to again
ponder that Mars meteorite in your collection and share the wonder of it with
friends and family.
Thanks Ron, for bringing this significent piece of history home to us and
continued good luck.
